Brent Serafinchan

Owner

Brent is the owner of Rigid Oilfield Services and has dedicated 20 years to the company. With over 30 years of experience in both field and office oilfield roles (including providing training and assistance on HPS skids, motors, and pumps in Shanghai, China), Brent oversees operations and various responsibilities to ensure everything runs as it should.

What Brent enjoys most about his role is that each day brings a new adventure, making his work both dynamic and engaging. Originally from Westlock, AB, Brent loves camping, riding his old Harley, and spending time with his family and dogs. Known for his dry wit, Brent's sense of humor never ceases to have the staff laughing (and shaking their heads).

Shiloh Serafinchan

Owner

Shiloh Serafinchan is the owner of Rigid Oilfield Services, which she co-founded in 2006. In her role, she focuses on developing business plans, identifying opportunities, and making strategic decisions while managing finances and daily operations. Shiloh values the family-oriented atmosphere within the company, seeing her staff as part of her extended family.

With over 15 years in the business, Shiloh has a solid understanding of oilfield operations and how oil companies work in both field and office settings. Originally from Estevan, Saskatchewan, she enjoys spending time with her kids, working with animals, traveling, and playing slow pitch. Known for her spontaneity and positive energy, Shiloh believes in the saying, “Everything happens for a reason.”

Desiree Ferris

Office Administrator

Desiree is the Office Administrator at Rigid and has been an important part of the team for 1.5 years. In her role, she manages all office tasks, including billing, reporting, and inventory. With over 20 years of office experience, plus a background in parts management and shipping and receiving, she brings valuable knowledge to the Rigid team.

What Desiree values most about working at Rigid is the company's commitment to supporting the community whenever possible, which makes her love her job even more.

Outside of work, Desiree enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, writing, and reading. A fun fact about her is that as a child, she and her family participated in the RCMP border patrol wagon train ride, a reenactment of how the RCMP used to patrol the border, featuring over 100 horseback riders, 75 wagons, and hundreds of participants.

Jamie Nemeth

Safety Manager

Jamie has been the Safety Manager at Rigid for over 13 years and has remained dedicated to creating a safe and compliant work environment. He handles everything related to safety management systems, including ISN, ComplyWorks, 8AM Solutions, and SiteDocs for digital safety documentation.

With more than 20 years in safety-focused roles, Jamie knows the ins and outs of risk assessment, compliance, and incident investigation. He develops training programs to keep everyone informed about safety best practices and conducts regular inspections to spot potential hazards.

When he’s not at work, Jamie loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, or getting his hands dirty in the garden. Originally from southern Saskatchewan, he’s got a real passion for nature and adventure. Fun fact: Jamie was quite the horse rider back in the day—there weren’t too many horses he couldn’t ride!

Jordan Primosch

Dispatcher

Jordan is a valued member of the dispatch team at Rigid Oilfield Services, where he has made significant contributions over two terms, totaling approximately eight to nine years. Initially joining the company in his early 20s, Jordan returned after a three-year break and has been an integral part of the team for the past five to six years.

In his role as a dispatcher, Jordan is responsible for dispatching field personnel to jobs, managing their activities, and facilitating communication between consultants and customers. He efficiently lines up all job details and ensures that necessary information is gathered for each task. Additionally, Jordan oversees inventory and is in charge of Cannon Guard reconditioning, as well as capline spooling, purging, pressure testing, and welding.

Though he had no prior experience when he first started at Rigid, Jordan worked in the field for five years before transitioning to his dispatch role, gaining valuable knowledge along the way. He appreciates the collaborative environment and the insights he gains from his colleagues in his position.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he also loves golfing during the summer and snowboarding in the winter. A fun fact about Jordan is that he was named "Cutest Kid in Leduc," —although he admits this title hasn’t helped him with his golf swing.

Roger Melnychuk

Shop Foreman / Technician

Roger Eric Melnychuk has served as Rigid’s Shop Foreman and Technician (Mechanic) for just shy of 15 years. In his role, Roger is responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers, as well as repairing, designing and retrofitting equipment.

Before joining Rigid, Roger spent 14 years as a technician for General Motors, where he repaired and serviced all types of vehicles. He also earned the distinction of being a Master Technician, participating in their yearly testing for three years.

What Roger appreciates most about working at Rigid is the family atmosphere and the great teamwork that exists among the staff.

Originally from St. Albert, AB, Roger enjoys camping, boating, and spending time at the lake, as well as snowmobiling and enjoying moments with his family.

Laurence S. Ames

Sr. Business Development Manager & Operations Consultant

Laurence has served as the Sr. Business Development Manager and Operations Consultant at Rigid for the last 12 months. In this role, Laurence focuses on finding new client opportunities and managing relationships with current clients.

With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Laurence has a solid technical background in wellbore completions and technologies and is known as a detail-oriented team leader who performs well under tight deadlines. His experience includes advanced well completions, surface data collection, and various intervention techniques.

Originally from Alberta, Laurence lives by the motto, “Nothing we do is ever so urgent or important that we cannot take the time to do it safely,” which reflects his commitment to safety in all aspects of life.

Lorne Tilby

Field Service Manager

Lorne serves as Field Service Manager at Rigid, where he has been a key member of the team for the past 1.5 years. In his role, Lorne supervises and manages field personnel, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

With a career spanning over 20 years in Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) field service, Lorne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Rigid team. His extensive background in the industry allows him to effectively lead and support his team in delivering quality service to clients.

What Lorne enjoys most about working at Rigid is the small company feel, which fosters close relationships among team members and creates a supportive work environment.

Originally from Edson, AB, Lorne enjoys spending his free time golfing and fishing. A fun fact about Lorne is that he has been known to claim that he can catch more fish than he can count—though he may be a bit generous with the numbers!
