In 2006, Shiloh and Brent found themselves in a tough spot and down to their last dollar with two young kids to support. Faced with limited options, they made the bold decision to start their own banding and spooling company. All they needed was one key piece of equipment: a reliable truck.
After searching, they found a 1994 Mack truck, which they bought for a modest price of $35,000—a bargain by industry standards. With determination and a clear vision, they prepared the truck for the oilfield, a vehicle that Brent lovingly calls “the truck that never quits.” This truck became a trusted asset, helping Rigid Oilfield Services build a reputation for hard work, reliability, and the ability to take on any job.
With their grit and the truck’s dependable performance, they quickly grew from one truck to a fleet of 17. A big part of this success is the great team and dedicated staff who have been with Rigid for years, contributing their skills and commitment to the company’s growth. Rigid still keeps that original 1994 Mack as a cherished reminder of the humble beginnings that started Rigid Oilfield Services. This truck represents the perseverance and dedication that continue to drive the company forward.
